Why become a member?

SPE is a place for all of today's industry professionals, regardless of experience or course of study. Although engineers are the core of SPE's membership, not all SPE members are engineers.

Abstract:

Industry has recognized that dynamic reservoir characterization, from wellbore pressure and production behaviors, is a key driver for maximizing the production and recovery of a reservoir.

The world without oil.

Abstract of the presentation “The world without oil”.

Subsurface uncertainty is one of the main challenges in using reservoir models to predict field performance for development and depletion planning purposes.

We present a novel, data-driven approach to integrated well/reservoir performance analysis and opportunity identification for mid- to late-life pattern waterfloods.

Dear SPE members and oil and gas professionals!

SPE Moscow section monthly meeting took place on May, 19.

Kamal Kamatov, drilling applications engineer in Baker Hughes, presented 'Hybrid Drill Bits: Worldwide Experience and Opportunities in Russia Caspian'.

The problem of efficient development of carbonate reservoirs has been one of the most significant and widely discussed ones in the oil industry for a long time.

Dear SPE members and oil and gas professionals!

SPE Moscow section monthly meeting took place on April, 14.

Igor Rukachev, senior geosteering engineer in Weatherford, presented 'Results of using deep azimuthal Multiple Propagation Resistivity measurements in a complex of logging while drilling horizon wellbores inside difficult geology'.

“The end of the oil era is still far away,” according to Christophe de Margerie. His prediction serves as the inspiration for this year’s SPE Russian Petroleum Technical Conference , to be held 26-28 October in Moscow. The conference has gained the reputation of the highly professional oil and gas event that provides the experts with a unique opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas in a non-profit, non-competitive environment, and to establish business contacts with regional and international colleagues.
