The 1st Advanced Technical Workshop “Hydraulic Fracturing in Russia: Experience and Future Perspectives” in Nizhnevartovsk was a great success in 2010. There were more than 140 participants from 30 different companies (operating, service, manufacturing etc) presenting. Approximately 25 reports were presented at the 2010 ATW, they actually submitted the story of development and application of Hydraulic fracturing as a method of reservoir stimulation and field development in the first decade of the 21st century.
But it’s time to move forward.... More than 6000 Hydraulic fracturing jobs were performed by operating companies in Russia and Caspian region over the past two years, various technologies of hydraulic fracturing were tested. So in this introductory session we plan to have reports from the operators talking about the latest trends in the field of hydraulic fracturing within the last two years.
