Nowadays Integrated Production System Modelling (IPSM) tools are widely used in many oil companies worldwide. The great advantage of the IPSM tool is that it enables the user to establish a fully integrated model of a field from the reservoir through to the separator. Taking into consideration that IPSM is a fully integrated tool – it can be used for many different purposes, such as Surveillance, Production and Injection System Optimization, Production Forecasting, Development Planning, Surface Network Debottlenecking, and others. The standard software for IPSM in Shell is the Petex IPM Suite (Prosper, GAP, MBAL, Resolve, Reveal, Open Server, IFM). This article demonstrates how IPSM model for Production and Water Injection Systems have been modeled and used in an efficient way in SPD.
