Starting in 2008, a system for paying SPE membership dues through Sberbank will make payment easy for members in Russia. we now offer immediate membership to new applicants, lapsed members or those who are unable to pay their SPE dues to bank/credit car

SPE International appreciates the difficulties we face, at Moscow Section and other sections in Russia, in finding a convenient way to pay membership dues. These have prevented existing SPE members from renewing their membership, and potential members from joining the Society.

On 23 October 2007, SPE celebrated the opening of its new Moscow office (+7-495-2258554) -click here for more information .

This is an important step towards providing SPE members in Russia with support and the option of paying dues locally, in Rubles.

Starting in 2008, a system for paying SPE membership dues fees through Sberbank will make payment easy and more accessible for members in Russia. In expectation of this, and as gesture of goodwill from SPE, we now offer immediate membership to new applicants, lapsed members or those who are unable to pay their SPE dues to bank/credit card restrictions in Russia. SPE will defer the payment of these membership fees, for a limited period, until the new payment mechanism is in place. Please use the following on-line form for deferred payment https://www.spe.org/forms/membership/russia.php

Existing and new members with no credit/bank card restrictions are kindly requested to pay their 2008 dues as normal. Instructions on step-by-step on-line payment procedure can be found under “MEMBERSHIP” tab - click here for more information .

Membership application forms are available in Russian and English, and will be processed through Moscow and London SPE offices within 4 weeks.  If you find more convenient to fill the form in Russian - please print it out by the following link , fill it and send to Caludia Rodionova (crodionova (at)  spe.org). Individuals joining in this way will enjoy the full advantages of SPE membership, and will be required to settle their SPE dues only when the new payment system is up and running.

This is a great step towards a stronger Russian membership of SPE, and I encourage you to take advantage of it today.
