The first awarding ceremony of regional and international SPE honors and awards and student “Star Scholarship” took place on 24th of June in the Chamber of Commerce of Russian Federation.
The SPE Honors and Awards Program recognizes significant technical and professional contributions of SPE members to the worldwide oil and gas industry and to the petroleum engineering profession and exceptional service to the Society and to the greater community (Read more).

The Regional “STAR scholarship” program was implemented in Russia and the Caspian region in 2009. This annual program includes 2 scholarships in the amount of $2500 per year for undergraduate students, and 2 scholarships in the amount of $5000 per year for postgraduate students. The program also provides to prolong the scholarship for each winner for up to 4 years. (Read more).
