Presentation advice

Do not read your presentation. Rehearse your presentation so that you can speak based on the bullets of your list. The text should be a cheat sheet for the speaker, not something to be read by your audience.

Give a brief overview at the start of the presentation, present main information and make a short summary covering main points.

Avoid making claims not clearly supported by the data presented in the presentation.

Choose your words carefully, avoiding slang, overuse of abbreviations, and an excess of technical jargon. Use simple terminology and sentences that convey a single thought.

Organize your thoughts to point audience to a logical conclusion. Use a wireless mouse / pointing device or take a wire-connected mouse with you so that you can move around during your presentation

Do not turn your back to the audience.
