This year’s Student Paper Contest will take place alongside with the second SPE Arctic and Extreme Environments Conference and Exhibition.

The contest will be divided into three parts – Undergraduate Division (15 October 2013), and Postgraduate Division: Masters and Diploma projects; and Candidates. (16 October 2013).

Abstracts submitted should relate to SPE technical disciplines (description available at http://www.spe.org/industry/docs/disciplinecategories.pdf). Special nomination will be granted to the best paper on Arctic and Extreme environments field development. Abstracts may be submitted in either English or Russian, or both.

The submitted abstracts will be judged by SPE committee. All authors selected for participation in onsite contest will be notified by the mid of September and SPE will cover travel and accommodation to attend contest and Conference.

The first place winner in each division is invited to attend the International SPE student paper contest to be held at the 2014 SPE Annual Technical Conference & Exhibition in Amsterdam, Netherlands. All travel expenses and accommodation will be covered by SPE.
